With one of the most beautiful views of the Buda Castle, authentic Neapolitan pizza and Italian gastronomy, we await you in the Aranybástya Függőkert.
As well as providing impeccable service, we strive to use the best, premium quality ingredients in our food and drink.
We are proud to stick to the tradition of Italian gastronomy, which requires the best quality Italian ingredients, so all our dishes perfectly evoke the best of Italy.
Neapolitan pizza
Each pizza is made using recipes certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (Real Neapolitan Pizza Association) and the most modern technology, with the aim of protecting pizzas produced and processed according to the old Neapolitan traditions and customs.
We source 00 pizza flour, San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte, truffles, salami, prosciutto, mozzarella, burrata from the best Italian suppliers. It is important to us that these products come from protected brands (D.O.P.) to ensure the best quality.
Starters
We also strive to use the best ingredients for our starters: burrata, capers, tomatoes, pesto all come from suppliers we consider the best.
Desserts
Italian desserts play as important a role in gastronomy as pizza. Their fantastic ingredient, mascarpone, is the basis of many cakes, and for good reason: one of the world's most popular desserts, tiramisu, is a must.
At Függőkert, we take special care to use the finest Piedmont hazelnut cream as the base for our profiteroles and good quality, high fat cream for our panna cotta.
Not to be missed is our 'Nutella' pizza, the Naponutella, a sweet pizza: a premium Nutella is spread on a basic pizza dough that has been aged for at least 48 hours. It is a great favourite of our sweet tooth guests.
Prosecco & Italian cocktails
The light refreshment of the Veneto Martini and Zonin Spumante Brut Prosecco Cuvée is a worthy addition to our list of drinks. However, alongside the Italian items, fantastic Hungarian sparkling wines and champagnes add variety to the list.
Our drinks list is not complete without aperitifs such as Limoncello Spritz, Aperol Spritz or Negroni, but also Malfy gin, along with world-famous Italian wines.
