The story of the Lónyay-Hatvany-Villa, home of the Aranybástya Restaurant, is not only the history of a building, but also reflects important historical moments in Budapest. The building dates back to Turkish times and has undergone many transformations over the centuries.
In the Aranybástya we place great emphasis on Hungarian values: among other things, because of the villa itself and the collection of the art of Count Nagylónyai on level -1, it is very important to be open to culture.
On the ground floor we show works by contemporary Hungarian artists, which change every year/semester. Gastronomy, culture, arts and painting have their place and role in the Aranybástya.
