On January 22, Hungarian Culture Day, we invite you to a special dinner event at Aranybástyában, where contemporary painting and live music come together. Jazz pianist Lóránt Péch will set the mood for the dinner, and as the highlight of the evening, a conversation between Blanka Bán and Bolda Szmrecsányi will offer insight into the world of the painter’s works. This is a special occasion, as the theme literally surrounds you: the works that are the subject of the conversation are currently adorning the restaurant’s walls, allowing you to experience the visual and intellectual journey up close.
About the Evening
About the Artists
One of the evening’s main featured artists is painter and graphic artist Bolda Szmrecsányi. Nature has always been close to her heart, and this theme is at the center of the works on display. Her light-drenched works reveal a spirit of bold experimentation: the organizing element of the images is radiance, which symbolizes life and hope while also highlighting shadow and contrast. The musical experience is provided by jazz pianist Lóránt Péch, who graduated in 2025 from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with a degree in jazz composition. In his playing, he combines the traditional sound of jazz with a modern approach, sensitive improvisation, and a rich harmonic world.

Arrival and Table Reservations
Attendance at the event is free, but due to our restaurant’s capacity, reservations are required. Please reserve your dinner table for the 6:00–7:00 p.m. time slot. This will allow you to settle in comfortably before the program begins and enjoy the evening over a pleasant dinner.
